Dr. Tony Humphreys, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, founder of the Relationship Mentoring Modality of Psychotherapy.  Author, Lecturer, International Speaker.

Co-Creational Relationship Mentoring Approach, embodies the belief in each individual’s “unique ability” to find their own solutions in a way that works best for them.

A Co-Creational approach that focuses on the creativity of both the mentor and the client. At its core, this approach has an appreciation of the individuality of the person seeking help, a recognition of the person’s power beyond measure, an affirmation of the sacredness and unconditional worth of the person and an awe response to the intelligent and creative ways that individuals protect themselves in the face of adverse experiences as a child and currently as an adult.

This philosophy seeks to understand the substitute/ protective behaviours presenting and create relational safety for the person to bring to consciousness what lies hidden – One’s True Self! Co- Creational relationship mentoring practice and its goals are to offer opportunities for individuals to deepen their sense of self and from that interior stronghold create more conscious relationships with self and others.

The philosophy is substantially rooted in theories and practices of psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, sociological theories, and experimental psychology.

I attended a weekend seminar in Killarney, 2014 presented by Dr Tony Humphreys “Whose Life Are You Living”.  Tony is the reason I was able to make reasonable sense of “WTF” is going on

As discussed above, the orientation is primarily non-directive and relies on the relationship between the mentor and the client. You are the expert on you! The knower of the “how and the why”, and the “where to next” of your current and past experiences. This philosophy provides safety for you to appreciate and realise possibilities for new choices and new actions that can and do happen.
